1964 Olympic Eights Trials

The 1964 Olympic Rowing Trials were held on the Orchard Beach Lagoon in Pelham Bay Park, NYC from July 8 - 11. Vesper Boat Club of Philadelphia won the trial in 6:01.3 over Harvard, California, and Yale. For the very first time in modern history, the country's best college crew had failed to earn the right to represent the US in the Men's Eight.

Mens HS LW4 US Youth Nationals Semi final

The Pioneer 4 in lane 5 walks through the pack; collectively 60 pounds lighter than the other LW crews in this video, I hope you enjoy this race, I was rowing 2 seat in the Pioneer boat and surely will remember this race for the rest of my life. We got 5th in grand finals to Boston Community rowing by less than a half second. two Sophomores two Juniors, Sophomore Coxswain. Stoke to bow - Ryan Lindstrom, Colin Darnton, Brendan Kennedy, Jack Mckarns, Mark Strader. Music is John Butler Ocean (Max Sessions)
