"Messing about on the River" On a fine sunny day (05/03/2011) Aberdeen Against Austerity went down to cheer on the local university boat race sponsored by Aberdeen Asset. Aberdeen Asset are specialists in offshore banking for wealthy individuals and corporations, they are currently in tax court with HMRC about non payment of Income tax and National Insurance to the sum of £7million. We had a flash banner drop and a pleasant hand out of flyers and a short lecture via the medium of the megaphone. The tax shark unfortunately sank. Mr Vandal gave a lecture from the bridge as the brave rowing teams romped for home. A fun day out was had by all and we even got some Tory voters who took our flyers.
