Forces Olympic star back at unit HQ 21.09.12 BritishForcesNews · September 24, 2012 The Olympics Gold medal Army rowing star Captain Heather Stanning is back at work. The Royal Artillery Officer has returned to duty at her unit headquarters after spending two years away training full time with Team GB, in preparation for the London Games. Having accomplished her mission of winning an Olympic medal in London, Captain Stanning is now focussing on earning an Operational one. She is likely to deploy to Afghanistan with colleagues from 32 Regiment RA next year. But the ambitious artillery officer is not ready to hang up her oars just yet. She hopes to produce another explosive performance in Rio in four years time.
