CRASH-B Sprints 2014 John Rich · January 26, 2015 The unique C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints, held annually in Boston, are the ‘world indoor rowing championships’. Competitors race against the clock and each other on rowing machines (ergs) electronically tethered to simulate a 2000-meter river race. The C.R.A.S.H.-B’s, started by a small group of local rowers to sharpen their skills during the long New England winter, have grown into an event that attracts over two thousand competitors, and includes an international field of Olympic and national team athletes.
