"Our team has grown in depth and enthusiasm this year. Every seat in our four varsity boats is highly contested and should produce some great speed this spring. Our crew is young and showed great resilience this past fall, coming from behind to beat Cornell in the 4-mile Poughkeepsie Regatta. They have also learned quite a bit from a close 4th-place finish at the Princeton Chase, where they were only four seconds behind first place Princeton. For all of our boats, this should be an exciting spring."

"There is a tremendous amount of optimism on our team for the spring. We have probably the best experienced recruits and the biggest and strongest walk-ons we have ever had. Working hard seems to be second nature to this team. They are absorbed in both the physical and mental training for this season. Our Capt. Caitlin Shemenski and her senior staff are providing significant leadership by leading the 42 underclass athletes by both example and hands-on. Our highly skilled, experienced, and efficient assistant coaches, Nicole Stimpson (4's/novice coach) and Ellen Gallagher (novice coach) bring tremendous assets to the development of our team. Everyone is looking forward to our spring break training in Miami Beach as a launching pad for our 2012 championship season."
