2014 Outlook
"Since August, our team has done a solid job of investing in the upcoming spring season and getting to know a new coaching staff. The expectation from the jump was that it would be necessary for each athlete, from Plebes to our 1st Class, to bring their best to the table each day. With our formidable league schedule, and after graduating a talented senior class, the squad understands and respects the challenge that lies ahead this spring."

2014 Outlook
"After graduating 18 seniors from the team last year, we are starting to see our younger athletes step up and fill some important roles on the squad. Some of our younger rowers are pushing our oldest erg records, but they will need to improve on the water to realize our goals this Spring. We are excited to kick off our spring break trip with our annual Currahee Mountain run, "3 miles up, 3 miles down", in honor of our brothers who have paid the ultimate price in defending our country."

2014 Outlook
"It is hard to make any predictions, but it seems very optimistic that all of our varsity 8 athletes are returning and the lower boats did so well last year. We had a great recruiting year for both experienced and walk-ons. One of our seniors, Katherine Ashton, (also walk-on her freshman year) was selected for the U 23 team last summer and finished 8th in the 4- at the world's in Austria. This year's crew is the hardest pulling in most talented in the history of Navy Women's Rowing. Only time will tell how well we perform."
-Head Coach Mike Hughes
