Happy Anniversary
Submitted by: Stephanie Huston

Taken at the Head of the Genesee in Rochester, NY last October. My boyfriend and i celebrate our one year anniversary this Sunday, Feb 10th, and it would the greatest gift of all if he could go to his favorite website and see a picture of him and his varsity eight. I know it may sound silly and insignificant, but my boyfriend lives for crew, and the first place he looks is the Photo of the Day. In this photo, the University of Rochester's mens V8 are sprinting their last 250 meters of the Head of the Genesee regatta (our home regatta, in which they placed third for collegiate men). The guys, and especially my boyfriend, love
this photo because they feel their facial expressions say it all. The two of us met a year ago when i joined the UR Crew team as a coxswain and it wasnt long before he asked for my number. Today it will be one year, and i never imagined i could be this happy. If there is any way you could facilitate that, it would mean the world to both of us.

"OK, so it is a bit cute, and sure I coached them a bit before the photo. But they were rowing a coxed pair across the livingroom floor long before I noticed and got the camera. In bow is Lucia Hopkins, at stroke is Ben Hopkins and holding down the tiller of this rare stern coxed pair is the lovely Abigail Hopkins. Mid winter, north east, indoor training at its best. Photo by Matt Hopkins, taken on the last 500m of Lowell Rd in Schenectady NY."
