COLLEGIATE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Sam Casto - UVA
Won gold in the UVA 2V8+ at ACCs. Placed third at NCAAs, only .657 seconds behind second place- the first UVA 2V8+ to medal since 2005. Represented the US at U23 Worlds in W1x, taking 10th place overall in her first international rowing appearance.

Agatha Nowinski - Cal
Stroke of the Cal Women’s Varsity 8+ which finished third at NCAAs. Competed at World Cup I for the US team. Stroke of the U-23 Women’s 8+ which won gold at World Championships and won a silver medal in the U23 Women’s Pair.

Erin Reelick - Princeton
Ivy League Champion in the Varsity 8+ and Gold medal winner in both the Women’s 8+ and 4- at the 2014 U23s in Varese, Italy.

Kate Roach - Cornell
From walk-on to World Champion in 2.7 years. Won gold in the U23 Women’s 8 at the 2014 U23 World Rowing Championships. In the 2013-2014, Kate set new all-time erg records (5K and 2K) for Cornell University. Named CRCA 2nd Team All-American in 2014.
