USRowing maintains a strong and long tradition of rewarding excellence in rowing. Following a year of unprecedented achievement, the rowing community has designated strong nominees for the 2013 Fan's Choice Awards which are solely nominated and voted on by rowing fans. Vote now!

NATIONAL TEAM ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

John Graves – M2x
Won NSR #1 in the men’s single sculls then won the 2013 World Championships Trials in the men’s double sculls. Finished ninth in the men’s single sculls at both World Cup II and III. Reached the semifinals at the Henley Royal Regatta. Finished in the top 10 in the double sculls at the 2013 World Rowing Championships.

Natalie McCarthy – LTA Mixed 2x
Achieved her eight-year goal of making it to the medal stand at an international regatta by winning bronze in the LTA2x at the 2013 World Rowing Championships.

Meghan Musnicki –W8+, W2-
Doubled up at the 2013 World Rowing Championships at the last minute due to an injury, winning gold in the women’s eight and placing fourth in the women’s pair. Won bronze in the pair at the 2013 World Rowing Cup in Lucerne. Won silver in the pair and eight at the 2013 World Rowing Cup in Sydney.

Amanda Polk – W8+
After going to the Olympic Games as a spare in 2012, Amanda charged back in 2013 and won gold in the bow seat of the women’s eight. Won silver in the eight at the 2013 Samsung World Rowing Cup in Sydney.

Seth Weil – M4-
A first time national team member, Seth won gold in the four at the 2013 World Rowing Cup in Lucerne and bronze at the 2013 World Rowing Championships. Won gold in the four and the pair at the USRowing National Championships. Finished first in the pair at the National Selection Regatta #1.
