2017 Outlook
"This season we’re hoping to build a strong foundation with a relatively inexperienced crew. Improving fitness during the winter will be extremely important, but, if we do, I think we could see some solid racing this spring as our 1V becomes more seasoned."

"The MIT Heavyweight Men are excited to start their 2015 spring campaign. Led by a dedicated group of seniors, the team is currently pushing hard through winter training, and showing significant improvements. A talented freshman class is performing well and striving to put their mark on the program as well. We look forward to racing some of the best teams in the country, and build towards good results at the Eastern Sprints and IRA regattas."

Tech LWRW will travel to Mercer Lake for Knecht Cup, April 8-9, which typically features the majority of IRA contenders. The Muri Cup in combination with the Beanpot on April 15th will feature the top-three finishers from the 2016 Head of the Charles (Radcliffe, BU, MIT). This mix of regattas and competitors promises an exciting season with diverse opponents and races. Championship racing will begin with the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia on May 12-13 and culminate at Lake Natoma, CA for the 115th IRA from June 2-4."
