Andy Washburn and Robin Gross power their double in the lee of the Providence Powerhouse on March 5th, 2016; the 5th official day of on-the-water rowing for Narragansett Boat Club. On March 6th, NBC started their 178th year of rowing and affirming their position as the oldest rowing and athletic club in the US. Air temperature was 22F and water temp was 38F, wind was 12-18 NNW and yes, it was very cold. While the lee of the powerhouse doesn't show the whitecaps that are on the Seekonk river for the return to the boathouse, it looks a lot warmer than it was.
