Washington Tops Heavyweight Men’s Poll; Princeton and Harvard Top Lightweight Polls

Washington earned 14 first-place votes to retain the top spot in this week’s men’s varsity eight poll. University of California ranked second, earning the remaining first-place vote. Harvard University, University of Wisconsin and Princeton University rounded out the top five.
The top five in the lightweight women’s eight poll remained the same as last week. Princeton was the unanimous choice for the top spot, earning all six first-place votes. Stanford University ranked second, followed by the University of Wisconsin. Radcliffe and Georgetown University rounded out the top five.
Harvard took over the top spot in the lightweight men’s poll, earning 10 of 11 first-place votes. Princeton ranked second, earning the remaining first-place vote. Dartmouth College and Yale University ranked third and fourth, respectively, with Cornell University and the United States Naval Academy tied for fifth.
