PRINCETON, N.J. - The six camp-selected boats that will represent the United States at the 2011 World Rowing Championships August 28-September 4 in Bled, Slovenia, have been named, USRowing announced on Tuesday.
Competing in the women's eight will be Mary Whipple (Orangevale, Calif.), Taylor Ritzel (Larkspur, Colo.), Caroline Lind (Greensboro, N.C.), Meghan Musnicki (Naples, N.Y.), Susan Francia (Abington, Pa.), Esther Lofgren (Newport Beach, Calif.), Eleanor Logan (Boothbay Harbor, Maine), Jamie Redman (Spokane, Wash.) and Amanda Polk (Pittsburgh, Pa.).
The lineup includes four Beijing gold-medalists in Whipple, Lind, Logan and Francia. Seven members return from last year's crew that won a fifth world title at the 2010 World Rowing Championships including Whipple, Musnicki, Logan, Lofgren, Ritzel, Redman and Polk.
In the women's quadruple sculls, Natalie Dell (Clearville, Pa.), Stesha Carle (Long Beach, Calif.), Megan Kalmoe (St. Croix Falls, Wis.) and Adrienne Martelli (University Place, Wash.) will represent the United States.
Kalmoe, a member of the 2008 Beijing squad, and Dell finished fifth in the event at last year's world championships. Martelli won a bronze medal in the women's four, while Carle finished fifth in the women's double sculls in New Zealand.
Competing in the men's eight will be coxswain Ned DelGuercio (Media, Pa.), Nareg Guregian (North Hills, Calif.), Josh Inman (Hillsboro, Ore.), Steven Coppola (Buffalo, N.Y.), Dan Walsh (Norwalk, Conn.), Henrik Rummel (Pittsford, N.Y.), Alex Osborne (Sherman Oaks, Calif.), Grant James (DeKalb, Ill.) and Ross James (DeKalb, Ill.).

Competing in the men's four will be Charlie Cole (New Canaan, Conn.), Scott Gault (Piedmont, Calif.), Brett Newlin (Riverton, Wyo.) and Giuseppe Lanzone (Annandale, Va.). The crew won bronze last month in Lucerne at the 2011 Samsung World Cup 3. Lanzone returns to the boat that finished fifth in New Zealand. Cole and Newlin were members of the 2010 men's eight, while Gault joins the lineup from the men's quadruple sculls.
Racing in the men's quadruple sculls will be Glenn Ochal (Philadelphia, Pa), Warren Anderson (Paso Robles, Calif.), Will Miller (Duxbury, Mass.) and Sam Stitt (McLean, Va.). Ochal and Anderson finished seventh in the double at last year's world championships, while Miller returns from the 2010 crew that finished eighth. Competing in the lightweight men's four will be 2010 under 23 bronze-medalist Robin Prendes (Miami, Fla.), Beijing Olympian Will Daly (Vail, Colo.), Ryan Fox (Edgerton, Wis.) and Anthony Fahden (Lafayette, Calif.). Daly, Fox and Fahden were members of the boat that finished 10th in New Zealand.
The men's single sculls, women's double sculls and lightweight women's double sculls crews were named in May, while the adaptive men's and women's single sculls and adaptive mixed four with coxswain were named last month.
