Rowing Canada Aviron is proud to officially recognize the athletes nominated to the 2012 Paralympic Games (see below).
The Paralympic rowing regatta will be held August 31 to September 2 at Eton Dorney, the same venue as the Olympic regatta.
"We are very excited to see these crews race in London," said Dr. Michael F. Murphy, President of Rowing Canada Aviron. "Para-rowing is growing at quite a rate, and it's great to see that we can send this experienced group of athletes to represent the country."
The team is currently training in St. Catharines, Ont., and yesterday local supporters came out to recognize the athletes' nomination to the Paralympic Team. Those on hand included members of St. Catharines Rowing Club, Brock University and Ridley Rowing, as well as representatives from the Niagara region. The athletes in particular recognized the contribution of their team sponsor, Pride Mobility Products, who was also present for the event.
