PRINCETON, N.J. - USRowing is pleased to announce the legs, trunk and arms four with coxswain crew that will represent the United States at the 2012 Paralympic Games in Eton Dorney, Great Britain, pending final approval from the United States Olympic Committee.
The lineup includes coxswain Alexandra Stein (Stamford, Conn.), Dorian Weber (Brighton, Mass.), Andrew Johnson (Greenwich, Conn.), Eleni Englert (Oceanside, Calif.) and Emma Preuschl (Indianapolis, Ind.).
Preuschl won a silver medal in the legs, trunk and arms four with coxswain at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. Stein, Johnson, Englert and Preuschl return from the crew that finished sixth in the event at the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled, Slovenia.
Selection for the crew was determined based on lineup evaluations and training camp performance under U.S. adaptive rowing coach Karen Lewis.
In total, three crews will represent the United States at the 2012 Paralympic Games. In addition to the legs, trunk and arms four with coxswain, Ron Harvey (Downingtown, Pa.) will compete in the men's arms and shoulders single sculls, with Rob Jones (Lovettsville, Va.) and Oksana Masters (Buffalo, N.Y.) in the trunk and arms mixed double sculls.
