Twenty collegiate women have been invited to the USRowing pre-elite and development camps that will be held this summer in New Jersey.
Eleven athletes will attend the pre-elite camp, which is being held June 10-July 6 at USRowing's Princeton Training Center at Princeton University. Athletes will have a chance to row in small boats, improve their skill level, and seat race for potential spots in the women's four or the women's eight that will compete this August at the 2003 FISA
World Rowing Championships in Milan, Italy.
Nine athletes will attend the development camp, an eight-day camp held June 16-23 at Mercer Lake Boathouse in West Windsor, N.J. The camp is intended to identify prospective national team athletes, improve their skill level, and expose them to the national team environment. Development camp invitees have no previous camp experience.
