PRINCETON, N.J. - USRowing has invited 28 athletes to attend its 2009 Junior Men's National Team Sweep Selection Camp this summer, the organization announced on Thursday.
The camp, which will be held June 15-July 15 at the Princeton National Rowing Association on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J., will select the junior men's eight and junior men's four with coxswain that will represent the U.S. at the 2009 FISA World Rowing Junior Championships August 5-8 in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France.
Brian Wettach is the lone returnee from last year's junior national team. Wettach raced in the junior men's eight that won bronze at the 2008 FISA World Rowing Senior and Junior Championships in Linz, Austria.
