PRINCETON, N.J. - USRowing is pleased to announce that it will continue to broadcast several regattas and selection events live in 2013. Watch racing free of charge on USRowing's You Tube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/usrowingorg.
"We are excited to see the continued enthusiasm for the live streaming of USRowing events and other regattas that have hired us to broadcast racing," said USRowing Coaching Education Manager Willie Black. "We have seen our viewership grow, with our larger events growing by about a third each year. Not only are more people watching live, more people are taking advantage of the opportunity to purchase a copy of individual races after the event.
"The two goals for the video program are to allow viewing opportunities for moms, dads and teammates who didn't travel to the championship, and to increase the exposure of rowing online," said Black. "This year, we are broadcasting our events on YouTube, which has just started to provide live streaming services, and this will provide the largest online exposure for rowing possible."
