For the fifth year, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) is instituting a Safety and Awareness Education Program, which requires all ECAC-sponsored regatta participants to complete a questionnaire prior to competing in 2009. Individuals will not be 'graded' nor will individual responses be provided to the ECAC. Instead, the aggregate of all responses from all athletes is used to improve future education initiatives.
There are six subject areas covered in the questionnaire:
At the end of the questionnaire, you will be able to complete and sign the ECAC participation waiver, which is required in order to participate in any ECAC regatta.
Any volunteer, rower, employee or agent who works, competes, assists or is associated with this event, is required to sign a waiver prior to participation in ECAC Rowing Championships. The coach of each participating crew is responsible for securing appropriate signatures from each crew member, including parent or guardian signature for each crew member under the age of 18 years.
Instructions: 1. Login to the account to be used to submit entries for ECAC regattas 2. Click 'Add Regatta" and add at least one of the ECAC regattas 3. Click the 'ECAC Compliance: Instructions for coaches' link (this will appear once an ECAC regatta has been added to your calendar in step #2)
Note: A new feature, just released a few weeks ago, enables you to now add multiple regattas to your calendar at once. So in step #2 above you can now select all the ECAC regattas you'll be attending and get them into your account in a single step.
