PRINCETON, N.J. - USRowing is pleased to announce the recent results of its 2016-17 election. After weeks of voting, three association governance positions - one on the Board of Directors and two Referee Coordinator positions - have been filled.
Individual members in the respective regions conducted voting for the candidates for regional positions. Voting for the Northeast Regional Representative was conducted among the full-privilege individual members of the Association (Championship Members).
"We are pleased to welcome these new representatives to these important governance positions," said USRowing Board of Directors Interim President Meghan O'Leary. "We thank the USRowing membership for participating in the elections and look forward to working together with our Board, the USRowing staff, and our representatives to guide our organization. We have an exciting year ahead."

Northwest Regional Representative
Sohier Hall, who ran unopposed in the Northwest Region, withdrew his name from this election. This position will be filled, per the Bylaws, by appointment of the Board. The Board expects to fill this position in the coming weeks.

*Note: Gary Caldwell was the winner in this election, but has withdrawn his name. The Board has appointed Lisa Stone, who received the second-largest number of votes, to Northeast Regional Director position.
