The winter break saw a swift shuffle in the staffs at the Naval Academy and Princeton. The first move was made by Navy's Chris Allsopp, who shifted from his post as frosh heavy men's coach to fill the vacant boatman position, as well as the newly created position of associate director of rowing operations. To fill the frosh post, Navy tapped then- Princeton frosh light men's coach Topher Bordeau , who joined the Naval Academy plebes almost immediately thereafter in early January.
Princeton subsequently shifted Scott Alwin into the frosh lightweight position. Alwin, who spent the fall as the Princeton men's intern coach, is a 2001 Wisco grad who was previously the Wisconsin assistant men's coach, and was undefeated in dual racing during his college career.
