This year, as a service to help participating schools, alumni, parents and friends reconnect, the HOCR is launching a new reunion destination, aptly called the “Reunion Village.” The Village offers a central gathering point for all rowers and friends to meet and enjoy the weekend, just east of the Weeks Footbridge, on the Boston side of the Charles River.
The following individual schools/clubs have already purchased tents this year: Bates, Bentley College, Bowdoin, Cal Berkley, Carnegie Lake Rowing Association, Cazenovia College, Cazenovia Rowing Club, Chaminade High School, Colby College, Dartmouth, Dresden Rowing Club, Emma Willard School, Gentle Giant RC, Holy Cross, MIT, Navy, Northeastern, Old Glory Boat Club, Penn University Club of Boston, Princeton University, University of Rhode Island, Saugatuck Rowing Club, Tufts University, Union College, Vesper Boat Club, Williams College, Yale.
Amenities include bleachers, one large commissary tent, color commentary, licensed merchandise and food. Cold beer and wine will also be available; participants are welcome to bring their own picnics…but no private alcohol will be allowed inside.
Reunion Village is open to the public (all ages) from 10:00am-5:00pm on Saturday and on Sunday from 8:00am-5:00pm. General admission (good for both days) is $10.00 for non-competitors and $5.00 for rowers.
