Head coach who has built a program for 7-12th graders from scratch, growing from 30 to 80 athletes in one season, believing that rowing is part of the future of Cleveland. Collaborated with local schools and charitable organizations, and led fundraising to buy equipment. Outstanding year in junior sculling. His junior double did not lose a race in the U.S., winning Youth Nationals, Club Nationals, and US Junior Trials. Dominated at Club Nationals, sweeping every single men's junior A sculling event (1x, 2x, 4x), as well as the Junior B 1x. After winning Junior Trials, 2x went to Junior and Senior Worlds in Bulgaria and finished eighth in the world; the highest ever finish for the United States.
