East Coast Fall Speed Order: Erg + Small Boats + Headwind = Fun
Tuesday, November 19, 2013
There is probably no race on the domestic elite circuit that has as few serious implications as do the fall speed orders. Selection is months away, trials even further, Worlds itself almost into next fall, and a lot can happen between now and the next time most of the participants spend any serious quality time on the water.  ...more

Friday in Trakai: Crosswinds and Close Margins
Friday, August 9, 2013
It was a bit of "job done" for US crews in the A-B semis this morning, with all three crews advancing by placing third in their semi; in all of the races, the overall margins were close enough that any of the crews could be able to be a factor in the finals. By the end of the day, only the junior men's double and the women's single had failed to advance, the women's single just by a devastating hair's breadth.  ...more

Sunny skies, warm temps and a mostly direct headwind made for some long and hard-fought races on Lake Galves in Trakai, Lithuania on Wednesday; on Thursday, the first crews to launch did so in a light rain, but by late morning it was all sun, heat, and headwind again.   ...more
