This is our second photo of the Cal Men's JV 8+ to make the Top Images of 2014, the first being Cal's Henley Cox Toss from December 16. This photo of the crew after winning the iRA grand final shows three-seat Christian Reynolds mid-back flip in his leap out of the shell.
Reynolds, a senior, also had a good IRA celebration after his freshmen 8+ won the IRA back in 2011 when he did a flip of the awards dock at the Cooper River that led to this carnage, ouch.
It's not uncommon to see rowers occasionally jump out of boats following big wins, but this is by far the cleanest shot I've gotten of the act.
