Head of the River Amstel, Amsterdam 2012, Rowing Silhouet3000 · March 19, 2012 An olympic rowing race is identical to any other 2K rowing race - the Head is 8K -. The difference is, that one or two billion spectators across the globe are watching. At Dorney Lake the dutch equipe, of which the M8+ and the LM4- are to see on this video - the W8+ prefers to focus on the Olympic Games - in August will go for gold. The athletes want the dutch red, white and blue flag to wave on top of the highest flag pale and then sing our national anthem, the "Wilhelmus". Back home again, they'll be invited at a reception by Queen Beatrix, make a triumphtour through the residence and be homaged in the Knigtshall, in the centre of The Hague. Some of them will be knighted.
