USRowing issued the following statement this afternoon on the postponement of the second round of trials, which were to be held in Sarasota Fl April 13-18; the first set of trials, which would have been underway starting yesterday, were postponed last week. The second set of trials were originally set to determine the following events:
-Men's Double
-Women's Double
-Men's Pair
-Men's Quad
-Tentative: PR1 M1x, PR1 W1x, PR2 Mix2x
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and to protect the health and safety of all, USRowing has postponed the 2020 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Team Trials - Rowing II scheduled for April 13-18 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla.
Because of the unforeseen changes, along with travel restrictions currently in place, USRowing's Olympic & Paralympic Selection Procedures are currently under review and will be amended. The USRowing High Performance Committee is holding discussions regarding a new timeline and events that may be possible for the selection of the team. As soon as this is finalized, the information will be passed along.
