2019 Outlook - "Last season we did a really nice job of rebuilding after graduating a strong Senior class the previous season. Notably a lot of underclassmen really stepped up, and our performances were stronger across the whole program. This meant that for the first time in program history we went back-to-back and again won the WIRA Team Point Score Championship. We also achieved this milestone in defended the Club Team Point Score Championship at the PAC-12 Championships. A key part of both success was the strength of our Novice/Freshman class. They had a great season, and two examples stand out to reflect the strength of this group. Firstly, when all 23 won a Medal at WIRA, and secondly when our freshman 8 won the Bronze Medal at the Pac12 Champs. The first eights medal at this regatta in decades! We are also building the UCLA Classic regatta into a bigger and better regatta."

2021 Finish
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 8
2022 Seniors - 5
2022 Outlook - "We have all of the resources to be successful here, and we are building up our culture to be even stronger, more resilient, and more close knit. The team is young, with nearly every core rower returning next year, so it’s been a foundational year. Despite the beauty and luxury of sunny Los Angeles (which in itself is an asset), we’re taking a blue collar approach to the process. We reached a CRCA poll high of #14 last year, but as for season predictions this year, I’ll channel an old saying from the 1920’s: Chin music never won a boat race. Let’s do it with the oars."
