2020 Outlook - "This will be the first year since arriving at SPU winter of 2016 that we have 4 year team members as seniors and they continue to provide phenomenal leadership and create a culture I could not be more proud of. We return a lot of last year’s squad and have some novices and returners stepping up into new roles all while making sure to keep our foot on the accelerator and not look backwards. The team is self-driven in a way that exceeds the motivation a coach can provide and I am excited to watch what they can accomplish.
"A great and challenging racing schedule will give us opportunities to grow and prove ourselves throughout the spring. Our team and athletic department are extremely excited this includes the inaugural Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championship (GNAC) May 16th alongside the Pac-12, WCC, and American Conference Championships in Gold River, CA. We are also ‘racing up’ against teams/divisions that have traditionally been faster than us whenever possible in an effort to return and improve from last year’s finish at NCAAs. Go Falcons!"

2018 Finish

- Varsity 4 - 3rd at SDCC, 7th at WIRA

2019 Outlook - "We continue to make progress but know everybody else is driving the bar higher each year as well. The attitude, team culture, and ‘buy in’ from the team are phenomenal and great assets of ours. We will need all of those ‘X’ factors to get past some very tough and experienced teams, but we are also making sure to do ‘the work’. Training volume and numbers are better than previous years and giving the team some much deserved optimism.
"Our schedule is extremely challenging, with the top teams from DII, multiple DI opponents including several members of the West Coast Conference and three Pac-12 opponents on it. We will be racing up in the Cal Cup at the SDCC before focusing back on our division in pursuit of a bid to the 2019 NCAA Championships."

2017 Finish
- Team - 4th in West Region
- Varsity 8 - 8th at WIRA, 2nd at Windermere Cup
- Novice 4 - 2nd at WIRA
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 6
2018 Seniors - 3
2018 Outlook - "Last year was building a team from scratch starting in January, and then just gaining some race experience. This year has been more normal and productive. With a good core group of 2nd year rowers and a bunch of new faces, the attitude is great and we are training hard. Compared to last year, we know we are closing the gap with the teams we routinely see, but by how much is a big question mark. The goal is to get back to the NCAA Championships, but there is still a lot of potential yet to be realized for that to happen. Our schedule is aggressive and puts us up against every team that has been to NCAAs in the last five years, so the opportunities are there. It will be an exciting season, I hope we can surprise some people along the way, and continue to lay the foundation for better and better years to come. The trend is nothing but up!"

2016 Finish
- Prioritizing NCAA Line-ups (v8+ and V4+) starting this year for first time in many years
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - N/A
2017 Seniors - 1
2017 Outlook - "Everybody says their team is young, but we are almost 100% novice that did not practice this past fall as there was no coach until November. That being said, the roster is growing as is the team culture. We are making progress and building a base that will pay off later this spring and in years to come. We have reoriented starting this year from a small boats program to focusing on NCAA sponsored boats (V8, V4) and on returning to the NCAA Championships as soon as possible. There is genuine excitement on campus and on the roster of things to come for Women’s Rowing here at SPU, it is just a matter of time, hard work, and the number of strokes until we get there."

2015 Outlook - "Very young and inexperienced in’15, though strong in potential. We are developing varsity and novice 4s this year on both the men’s and women’s teams. Looking into 2016 and beyond for a recrudescence of significant varsity category depth and speed."

2009 Finish
- Varsity 8: 3rd WIRA, 4th at Dad Vail, 3rd at NCAA DII
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 7
2010 Seniors - 1
2010 Outlook - "When you look at the big picture, last year’s third-place finish was an absolutely superb result for an at-large program that’s not supposed to be competitive. We have our coxswain and six rowers back from that crew. Definitely the expectations are higher this year. I don’t know that it is causing any additional stress. It’s a great group dynamic, which is why there’s not as much stress. There is just a lot of good leadership. Everybody’s performance is stepping up and up and the depth just increases a little bit each year with people coming back. The expectation has been really favorable and isn’t causing stress."
