2017 Outlook - "The team goal will be a hopeful 17th appearance to the NCAA Championships. The varsity athletes are encouraged by a 2016 2nd place finish at the Charles, a sculling champion (Colby D'Onofrio) at the Mercer Small Boat Fall Regatta, and a deep roster of over three boats. The New York State Championship and the National Invitational Rowing Championship are end-of-season highlights. A March trip to Georgia is the early season highlight. There is plenty of excitement in the boathouse."

2016 Outlook - "Ithaca will put almost 60 women on the water in 2016. The fall sculling team will pool with the fall sweep team to create a deep squad with many racing opportunities. Ithaca's top two 8's will attend the 2016 Dad Vail - first trip there since 1992. Senior Emily Morley of the Bahamas will compete in the 1x at the South/Central America Olympic trials in Valparaiso, Chile in mid-March. The team is trying to make its 16th appearance at the NCAA championships. There's a lot to work for in 2016!"

2015 Outlook - "We have over 55 oarswomen with quality depth, but this year we are young. One of our captains is an underclassmen, we have four frosh rowing with the varsity, and we'll have a strong frosh-novice 8. We had two distinct squads in the fall, scullers and sweeps. We'll combine them this spring. Sculling has been very valuable. We've been to 15 NCAA championships. We are working to get there again in 2015. It won't be easy, but the challenge inspires us."

With as many competitors as we have, and as hard as the athletes are working, we are excited about 2014!"

To get back we must navigate a schedule that includes NCAA participants Williams, Coast Guard, Marietta, and William Smith, as well as the State Championship regatta and the ECAC National Invitation regatta. A highlight of the 2012 fall season was the inaugural season for our varsity sculling team. More athletes participated in fall competion than ever before!"

The spring schedule includes 2010 NCAA participants Williams, Bates, & St. Lawrence, as well as traditional rivals William Smith, Holy Cross, Rochester, RIT, Skidmore, and cross-town neighbor Cornell. Ithaca will also host three home regattas on its well-protected 2k course."

2018 Outlook - "New York State and National Invitational medals are the end goal and roster growth is the way for Ithaca's crews to get there. The roster is a bit larger than a year ago with as many as 6 freshmen and sophomores making the varsity crew. Fall results showed promise with a v8 medal at the Fish and Braxton Regattas. We have a good combination of recruited oarsmen mixing with novices. The winter scores are showing consistent improvement. The race schedule shows three home races and four challenging road-trips....Time to go!"

2017 Outlook - "Ithaca will have a young roster that features over 50% freshmen. Several will row in the varsity 8. Fall 2016 Varsity 8 highlights included a medal at the Head of the Genesee, top half at the Charles (thus qualifying for fall 2017), and a win at the Philadelphia Frostbite. New facilities and a Strength Coach are buoying the program. The 2017 spring schedule includes a spring trip, 4 home races, 4 road trips, and hopefully many memorable finishes. Winter training is underway with the principle goals being success at the New York State Collegiate Regatta and the National Invitational Rowing Championship."

2016 Outlook - "2016 will be Ithaca College's 49th season of spring competition. Four home races highlight the schedule as we host Hobart, Michigan, Bucknell, Cornell, UR, RIT, St. Lawrence, Skidmore, Colgate, Hamilton, and Marist. Road trips take us to Worcester, MA twice, Saratoga Springs, and a season opener in Gainesville Georgia, the John Hunter Regatta. After two awful winters, we should be back to rowing in March this year in Ithaca, NY!"

2015 Outlook - "Our numbers are solid this spring with almost 40 oarsmen and 6 coxswains; The varsity 8 is almost entirely new faces, but we had 11 crews win medals at various fall regattas so there is optimism for the spring. We are not as strong on the erg as we were a year ago so the coaching will have to be sharp. There is more competition for first boat seats, always a good thing, and the schedule includes four home races, three road-trips, three ECAC finalists, seven state-rivals, and hopefully no lingering ice!"

The varsity 8 will hold more seniors than any Ithaca crew of the last five years. It's nice to have the experience in the crews. We remain optimistic of surpassing our 2013 results!"

Some solid fall results including a first place varsity 8 finish at the Head of the Fish has created confidence on the squad. The expectations for the racing season are very high."
