Conditions: Virtually no wind, perfect racing conditions. Rowing against a light outgoing tide, staying consistent throughout the morning. Order of Racing - 1V4, 2V4, F/N8, 1V8, 2V8, F/N8 Rd 2.
Comments: The first freshman/novice 8 race was shortened to roughly 1400 meters, due to a floating start. WJ was up bow-to-stern before catching a boat-stopping crab in the last 70 meters. In round 2 of freshman/novice 8, Dematha caught a boat-stopping at 600 meters in; at the time they were bow-to-stern behind WJ. Chalk it up to novice racing. Thanks to both crews for some spirited racing as we prepare for championship racing season! Happy Birthday Giovanni!
