California, Barry, and Wellesley Top Final Week of Polls

When polling season began, The Ohio State University sat at the top of the preseason ranking and the University of California was right under them in second. As the season unfolded, Ohio State fell to fourth and Cal rose.
In the end, when racing was complete on Lake Natoma at the NCAA Women's Rowing Championships, California had claimed the national title by three points over Ohio State and that’s where the final poll results rested.
California is the top ranking and Ohio State is second in the post-season USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Division I and II Polls, presented by Pocock Racing Shells.
California earned all 25 first-place votes to rank first, followed by Ohio State in second, University of Virginia in third, Stanford University in fourth and University of Washington in fifth.
In DII polling, Barry University, which repeated as national champions, claimed the top position in the post season polling, exactly where the Bucs started the season. Barry earned all five first-place votes and was followed in second place by the University of Central Oklahoma and Western Washington University in third. Humboldt State University and Mercyhurst University rounded out the top five.
