Henley Royal Regatta has announced television coverage of the 2015 Regatta.
Finals Day of the 2015 event will be broadcast live on Sunday 5th July on the BBC Red Button and the BBC Sport website.
In addition to the already announced live YouTube coverage throughout the Regatta, this partnership enhances the reach of this world-famous event.
Sir Steve Redgrave, Chairman of the Committee of Management of the Regatta, said: "This is a further step in the innovative and exciting project we have undertaken this year to take the Regatta to audiences around the world as well as to UK sports fans".
"We are delighted to have teamed up this year with the BBC, the Olympic broadcaster, which also covers the Boat Races and international rowing. This is a fantastic addition to our live coverage."
Ron Chakraborty, Head of Major Events, BBC Sport said: "The BBC is delighted to be able to offer viewers coverage of this unique and world class sporting event. Henley Royal Regatta's Finals day is a fantastic addition to our existing rowing portfolio which includes the Boat Race, the World and European Championships, the World Cup regattas and of course the Rio Olympics next year. It enables us to tell a comprehensive story in one of Britain's most successful sports'.
A strong entry of over 500 crews has already been announced for the 2015 Regatta, which will include rowers from 22 countries, including multiple World and Olympic Champions as well as top school, university, club and junior crews. A record number of crews from the United States will be competing.
A number of national teams have entered, and there is the prospect of a potential showdown between the reigning World Champion men's eight from Great Britain and the German Olympic Champions in Sunday's Finals.
More than 250 races will feature at the Regatta, which is renowned for its gladiatorial match-racing.
The broadcast by the BBC is in addition to the already announced ground-breaking arrangement with YouTube to cover racing live on each of the Regatta's five days of action from 1st to 5th July, as well as provide a daily highlights programme on demand.
The coverage will be produced in High Definition and streamed on the Henley Royal Regatta website and on the Henley Royal Regatta Official YouTube Channel.
Production will be provided by Sunset+Vine, the award-winning independent sports TV production and media company, part of The Tinopolis Group.
Coverage will be on the Red Button and BBC Sport Website on 5th July from 11.15 - 13.15 BST and 14.15 - 16.15 BST.
