Due to a fairly large storm, a number of races in the Northeast and possibly mid-Atlantic regions are in jeopardy or in flux; already Saturday racing in Boston and Providence has been canceled or postponed. Reasons for the cancellations include potential problems with both racing and travel conditions.
- Delaware at Penn LM cancelled per tweet (which suggests other Phila racing may be cancelled as well)
- Cornell and GW at Harvard has been cancelled outright
- Penn at Northeastern NOW CANCELLED as of 2pm Friday
- Radcliffe at Brown has been moved to Sunday
In the mid-Atlantic region, the storm will have passed by Saturday morning, but the strong-ish winds that will follow on the storm have coaches and regatta organizers discussing shifting race times.
We recommend fans, alums, family and friends to check team Web sites and Twitter feeds before driving out to the racecourse for the next couple days.
