In hopes of deciding once and for all whether rowing is a team or individual sport, the College Crew Coaches Polity (CCCP) has made an official recommendation to the NCAA suggesting the elimination of all eights and fours racing in favor of the adoption of dragonboats.
"Dragonboat racing is still an outdoor sport, and it is still a water sport," said an anonymous representative of the CCCP who hacked a row2k poll to post the comments a few minutes after requesting that security on said poll be relaxed "so my friends can vote."
"Now we have a varsity eight, and a second varsity eight, a four, and a points system - it is all so insanely confusing," the representative wrote. "Obviously 150 years of rowing precedent hasn't been enough to iron out these problems, so we need a big change - a huge change - a dragon-sized change, if you will.
"The standard crew of a dragonboat includes 22 people - one person short of the current official NCAA team size - all racing in one boat. Problem solved."
