Crews drawn from the Oxford and Cambridge 2010 Boat Race squads will race on the Thames a week on Saturday (14 November) in the annual Fuller's Head of the River Fours event that covers the Tideway course in the opposite direction to the Boat Race from Mortlake to Putney.
Oxford will race four boats as Isis, while Cambridge will race five boats- with both clubs entering three boats in the Elite coxed four category that also features crews from Leander, Molesey and both Durham and Reading universities.
The respective club Presidents and returning Blues - Sjoerd Hamburger from Holland (OUBC) and Deaglan McEachern from the USA (CUBC) - will lead off their clubs with strong, experienced crews.
Hamburger will be joined in the Isis I boat by Irish stroke Martin Walsh and American cox Adam Barhamand, who both won against Goldie in the same roles in this year's reserve race, plus twins Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, who rowed for the USA in the pairs at the 2008 Olympic Games.
The top Cambridge boat includes three returning Blues from this year - McEachern, Hardy Cubasch (Australia) and bow Rob Weitemeyer (Canada) - plus another Canadian, former national university rowing champion, Peter McClelland.
Weitemeyer was a member of the Cambridge crew that won the Elite 4+ Pennant in the Fours Head in 2008 in the company of former President Henry Pelly, who races in the Cambridge second boat along with three crew members from the losing Goldie boat this year American Shane O'Mara and Britons George Nash and Fred Gill.
