The Heavyweight Varsity 8+ Grand Final at the 2022 IRA National Championship Regatta saw two unbeaten crews, Cal and Yale, race each other for the first and only time. The Cal Bears grabbed a quick lead and never relinquished, winning by over two seconds over Yale. It was the Bears first win in the event since 2016. Watch the race here.
