The first part of May had quite a bit of rain hit the greater Philadelphia region, causing high water and flow on the Schuylkill right before the start of the Stotesbury Cup Regatta, the largest high school regatta in the world. The regatta organizers decided on mid-day Tuesday to move the event across the Delaware River to the Cooper River. It was a herculean task move the event for a Friday start, but with the help of regatta organizers and many volunteers, the event ran fairly smoothly.
These are a couple of our favorite images from the first ever Stotesbury on the Cooper. Here is row2k's report from the event.
