Comments: The 3rd Annual Indiana Cup was a great success today at Indiana University. The purpose of the race is to highlight rowing in the state, however today the cup broke with tradition and invited the Lady Vols of Tennessee. The racing was close in all events and each school won at least one event. The Fighting Irish came away with the most wins today capuring a win in the Novice 8, 2V8, and the V8. The Varsity 8 race was taken control early by Notre Dame and the real race was for second by IU,Tenn, and PU. The fight was close to the 1500 and then the Lady vols kicked into overdrive to surge past the Hoosiers and Boilermakers to take a commanding second to Notre Dame. Indiana University would like to thank all the visiting teams for making the day of racing fair, fun, and exciting.
