Distance: 2000 Wind: very strong tail Water: slight chop, swirling due to current but rowable Current: very strong tail Comments: We did race 2000 meters! Extremely fast current and wind.
BU 2V caught crab in first 500 due to oar hitting debris. Not a boat stopper but caused them to fall of pace while rower recovered oar.
Extensive amount of debris and large logs in water required referees to do "safety" steering of crews in most races.
Current very uneven in lanes. Challenging conditions.
GW & GT coaches worked incrediably hard to keep course clear and safe for racing.
