Comments: in the varsity 8 race, virginia was leading duke by approximately 2 lengths at 700 meters gone, caught a boat-stopping over the head doozie, got passed by duke by about 1 1/2 lengths and passed them back for the finish margin. the varsity 8's then went out in fours and did a 1000 meter headwind piece with the following results. virginia 3:48.16 duke 3:49.16 virginia 3:54.16 duke 4:00.24
