-Lead on-campus recruiting efforts during activity week events
-Schedule, plan and coach all novice workouts (sessions in the morning and afternoon)
-Must be comfortable teaching everything about the sport of rowing to true novices
-Must be comfortable taking direction and acting independently to implement/make decisions
-Assist head coach in scheduling/logistics of combined workouts and regattas -Basic administrative tasks associated with managing a team: determining initial compliance, disseminating information about dates, dues, medical clearance, etc
-Attend/coach 5-6 regattas during the spring (UC Challenge, Newport Regatta, SDCC, WIRA, ACRA)
-Participate in other team activities, such as winter training and spring break training on Lake Cachuma -
Must have reliable transportation and valid drivers license
-Rowing experience expected, prior coaching experience not necessary - just a desire to teach, learn, motivate and inspire!
Ideal start date: Mid- to Late-September.
