8/29, mid-day:
Early report from Worlds: daytime temps are toasty, in the 80s, with most crews now on the regatta site. The requisite territorial shoulder-swinging has begun, with crews jockeying for position on shore, in lanes and at docks. This all should calm down as racing approaches, in my experience; posturing decreases, silent intensity increases.
