Chicago River Marathon Course Guide Lincoln Park Boat Club · September 1, 2020 The Chicago River Marathon starts in Bubbly Creek, winds its way through downtown Chicago to Navy Pier, then swings back to head through Chicago's northern neighborhoods, finally it heads back south, along the same route, to finish at Bubbly Creek. (Half marathon racers head south after looping through downtown.)
This video details not only the course but each of the historic and notable parks, buildings, and landmarks racers will pass along the way.
The Chicago River Marathon is a one of a kind rowing race. Significantly longer than the traditional head race, both the full and half courses will test the endurance of even the most fit rowers. The Chicago River Marathon hosts everyone from high school and novice rowers to masters and elite crews, with competitors hailing from both locally and internationally.
