1964 Olympic Eights Trials Poochie9382 · December 29, 2011 The 1964 Olympic Rowing Trials were held on the Orchard Beach Lagoon in Pelham Bay Park, NYC from July 8 - 11. Vesper Boat Club of Philadelphia won the trial in 6:01.3 over Harvard, California, and Yale. For the very first time in modern history, the country's best college crew had failed to earn the right to represent the US in the Men's Eight.
