Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 2
2019 Seniors - 3
2019 Outlook - "The overall team is very young this year after graduating several seniors. Better than two thirds of the team are 1st year athletes who have considerable talent and enthusiasm. We are looking to progress weekly and build on the novice 8’s fall season where they went undefeated against DIII and DII programs that they raced. Several of these novice will be in the 1V this spring where they hope to gain race experience at the top level. This team has great potential which may not show this year, but will in the next two to three years."

2015 Outlook - "This season, we are going to capitalize on the leadership we have in our seven member senior class and the excitement the under-class women bring to practice each day to push our definitions of speed this spring. The goal for all boats is to convert the work completed on land this winter into speed that will put us in contention for an NCAA bid this spring."
-Head Coach John Gaskin
Head Coach - John Gaskin, 1st year
2013 Finish
- Varsity 8 - Dad Vail DIII Champs, 6th at HOCR
- 2nd Varsity 8 - 7th at Dad Vail
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 9
2014 Seniors - 4
2014 Outlook - "The team is still very young with only 4 seniors. This is UR’s 5th year as a varsity program and the goal is to obtain an NCAA berth. Our 1V is back intact from last year and they have been gaining confidence and trust in each other with every practice and race. This past fall they had significant success against the top rated teams in New York and New England. The competition is tough and we know we have a lot of work to do and the women are up for the challenge. One step at a time, one race at a time, building confidence as we go."

2019 Outlook - "The team is small this year with only 16 members. We have a great group of big and strong novice who are going to compete for seats in the 1V and keep all of the guys on their toes. Each week we will boat based on what our competition can offer be it a 1V and 2V, 1V and N4, etc. Unfortunately we only have 7 novice so these guys are going to get put to the test right from the start. I have great hopes that this fast introduction will create champions as they grow over the next few years."
