2018 Outlook - “We’ve seen a steady progression of improvement the last three years, and it was great for the program to get on the podium at NCAAs last year. Since all but three of those athletes are back for 2018, we now have some good depth and experience on the team. We’ve done some things differently this year, and those changes look to have had a positive effect. I’m really impressed with the culture that’s been established, but we aren’t taking anything for granted. We’re doing a reasonably good job of taking care of things that are within our control, and I’m optimistic about the speed we’ll show by the end of the spring. Hopefully, the results will be respectable. Hook ‘Em!”

- No racing in Spring of 2021
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - N/A
2022 Seniors - 15
2022 Outlook - "After a long 2 year hiatus from competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic and many meters put in over that time, Texas Crew is hungrier than ever to show the work that's been put in during the shutdown. The team is stacked with seniors ready to go out in flames and put their legacy on Texas. The heavy and light fours are getting into their groove, but there is still plenty of speed to be found in Austin. The small boats are moving along nicely and we're excited to see how they fare against national competition. With a small cohort of junior and sophomore rowers, the seniors are looking to bring back some hardware to help with recruitment and continue building the team in the coming years. It's a great time to be a Longhorn. Hook 'em!"
-Texas Crew
Head Coach - Alec Hurley, 1st year
2018 Finish
- Varsity 8 - 21st at ACRA
- Freshmen 8 - 18th at ACRA
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 1
2019 Seniors - 0
2019 Outlook - "A young program, both in age and experience, we have focused on avoiding the 'rebuilding' mindset. The process has already shown early progress. As we head into Spring Break we're looking forward to entering the deepest and fastest team at ACRA in Texas history. It's a fun time to be in Austin."
