2016 Outlook - "The women have been able to achieve historic results this fall season, but we recognize that fall successes rarely predict spring results. The team has adjusted well to the slight shift in leadership and is doing everything they can to make the team as fast as possible. We have a challenging race schedule lined up and we are look forward to making the most out of every opportunity as we strive for our ninth consecutive NCAA appearance."

2015 Outlook - "Winter training has gone well and the team is excited about the upcoming season. We have a great mix of young talent, NCAA experience and leadership. We have altered our approach to the racing season and are expecting stronger performances as the season develops. The depth on the team is better this year and there is good chemistry. The team is on schedule and the focus is to return to our 8th consecutive NCAA championship and improve on last years 4th team place."

2013 Finish
- Varsity 8 - 5th at Vails, 4th at NCAAs
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 5
2014 Seniors - 2
2014 Outlook - "This years team is a year older and a little more wiser than last year young team that went to their 6th consecutive NCAA championship. The biggest improvement has come from the sophomores who have really stepped up the training and combined with last years returners and the new freshmen we expect an increase in boat speed from last years V8. The chemistry is strong this year and that is always a good indicator that a boat has a good chance to reach its full potential."
-Head Coach Adrian Spracklen
Head Coach - Adrian Spracklen, 21st year
2012 Finish
- Varsity 8 - Dad Vail Champs, 4th at NCAA D2 Championships
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 4
2013 Seniors - 2
2013 Outlook - "We have a number of new young faces on the team that will give the eight a very different look and feel. They have come a long way since the fall and we are keeping an open book on what they can achieve this coming season. They have strong chemistry and work ethic and above all they are having fun. I think the season will be that of discovery and promise."
-Head Coach Adrian Spracklen
Head Coach - Adrian Spracklen, 19th year
2010 Finish
- Varsity 8: NCAA Champions, Dad Vail Champions
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 4
2011 Seniors - 1
2011 Outlook - "The woman’s eight will be quite different from the national championship eight of a year ago with many new younger faces filling in the seats behind co-captains and first team all American Amanda Carlyon and Elite 88 winner Bethany Brun. There will be a lot of growing and valued experienced gained from the early races before we see really what sort of potential the boat has. What won’t change will be the expectations; we expect to win. Winter training has gone well and the freshmen are learning what it takes to be collegiate athlete. The goal is to improve with every race and I think it will be a boat that won’t find its true speed until the end of the season. There are a lot of questions that have to be answered, but I am excited to see how fast they can be."

2017 Outlook - "The competitive atmosphere we have had this winter has been one of the best. The guys have been training hard and the focus has been good. The changes made to the program have been received well and hope that will translate into competitive boats and ultimately achieve the speed we are looking for on the water. We have another competitive schedule and are excited to see how the season plays out."

2016 Outlook - "This year’s spring schedule looks to be one of the most challenging in recent years. Individually, the men on the team are stronger than last year and we are making the most of every opportunity to make the team faster. Since the landscape of lightweight rowing is moving away from the freshman eight, Mercyhurst is doing the same. I expect the core of last year’s freshman eight and several of this year’s freshmen to have a viable shot at sitting in this year’s varsity eight as we strive to earn a bid to IRA’s."

2015 Outlook - "The men’s team continues to build depth and welcomed a strong freshman class that has brought a healthy competitive atmosphere to our training. We made some changes to our winter training program and results have been positive. The true test comes on the water and we are excited about the upcoming season, racing some of the top lightweight schools in the country."

Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 4
2014 Seniors - 2
2014 Outlook - "We have a very balanced team this year with greater depth from top to bottom. We have great leadership and an influx of young fresh talent that are learning the ropes of collegiate racing. Competition is tough and the stakes are high and we will never back down from racing the best lightweight or heavyweight crews. I like the group we have and believe the fastest crew will reveal itself as the season progresses. There will be many line up changes in the early races giving many a chance to show their worth. It will be fun watching the team compete as they have a knack of bringing out the best in each other."
-Head Coach Adrian Spracklen

2013 Seniors - 5
2013 Outlook - "The mens team has beefed up their spring race schedule with more races against some of the fastest lightweight programs in the country. We are excited about the challenge ahead of us and hope it will push us to a higher level of performance. We had a strong freshman class this year and we expect many of them to be challenging the upperclassmen for seats."
-Head Coach Adrian Spracklen
Head Coach - Adrian Spracklen, 10th year
2010 Finish
- Varsity 8: Dad Vail Champs
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 5
2011 Seniors - 3
2011 Outlook - "It’s one thing to win the eight at Dad Vails it’s a whole lot harder to repeat. There will be no sneaking up on people this year. The boat does return five guys and it will be up to the others on the team to see who is going to step up and fill the seats left by the seniors. It will be interesting to see how the new faces fit in and what sort of chemistry this year’s crew will have. The potential is definitely there but it will be up to the individuals to see if that translates into speed. We want to continue to push bar and build a tradition of excellence."

2022 Outlook - "A successful fall season that saw a 2nd place finish in the collegiate 4+ at Head of the Charles has been a spring board into a great season of winter training. We're excited to get back onto the water with this group and see how that training has paid off. We've got our strongest spring season schedule to date so were excited for the challenge each and every weekend. The focus for the 4+ will be a Dad Vail championship and a very strong IRA performance."
