This group has the right mentality and talent to make another step towards the top of the podium. With a strong senior class and an ambitious group of freshmen at the boathouse, the team used the annual Florida training trip to come together as one in preparation for the upcoming spring racing season. The team is excited to continue getting fitter, stronger and faster this spring and can’t wait for those two words, Attention...GO!"

2021 Outlook - "After what feels like a long time, UMass Women’s rowing is poised to start our first spring season in two years. With an alternate fall season with no racing, the team has done a good job sticking together in preparation for the A-10 Championships in May. On tap leading up to the Championships, UMass will race in 3 key races against some of the fastest in New England and the A-10. We are all excited to hear the words...attention, GO!"

2014 Outlook - "The anticipated excitement of the 2013-2014 year began with the opening of our new boathouse in Hadley, MA. Success was found early on in the fall with a 2nd place HOCR finish from our Lightweight 4+ as well as nine 1st place finishes in both sweep and sculling events at the Head of the Fish. Fresh off a successful winter training trip to FL, the Minutewomen are taking the championship season head-on, wasting no time in their land training while the ice continues to melt on the CT River. The speed we have seen thus far can be attributed to the work ethic of our determined, returning upperclassman as well as the calm, yet driven demeanor of several talented freshman. The women are anxious to get back out on the water and transfer the progress made in small boats over winter break to the results we plan to see in the big boats on race day."

2017 Outlook - "With graduating just 3 from last year’s Varsity 8, we're comprised primarily of sophomores and freshman so we have an excited group of returning athletes. Being a reasonably young group we place most of our focus on improving what we do every day on and off the water. With that mindset we work to improve upon last year’s team finish at the ACRA."
