2017 Outlook - "Last year was a tough one for the guys. It took the fall season to figure out who wanted to be a part of this experience, and we came out of it with 10 rowers who were committed to the process. We’ve more than doubled the size of the squad this year with a young group of guys who are eager and ready to work hard. We are still very much in the building phase, but we’re one step closer to where we want to be."
-Head Coach Marci Robles
Head Coach - Marci Robles, 1st year

2015 Outlook - "It’s been an exciting year so far for the JU men. The team has been through a lot of change over the last six months, and we feel like we have the right training and structure in place to be able to work toward our goals this spring. We still have a lot to learn but are looking forward to getting out on the race course and executing our plan."
-Head Coach Marci Robles
Head Coach - Montia Rice, 3rd year
2013 Finish
- Varsity 8 - FIRA Champs, MAAC Champs, 5th at SIRA, 7th at Dad Vail

- Frosh 8 - FIRA Champs, 5th at SIRA, 5th at Dad Vail
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 6
2014 Seniors - 5
2014 Outlook - "With a team that is predominately freshmen and sophomores, we will have a lot of growing to do this spring. The group as a whole is one of our stronger teams, but how that translates to the water and the race season will determine how well we do. March is packed with heavy competition, which will help in the development of the younger guys getting ready for our championship season."
-Head Coach Montia Rice
Head Coach - Montia Rice, 2nd year
2012 Finish
- Varsity 8 - FIRA Champs, 8th at SIRA, 10th at Dad Vail
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 5
2013 Seniors - 3
2013 Outlook - "With very few upperclassmen on a team dominated by freshmen and sophomores, we are relying on the youth more than ever. The younger class has provided their size and strength, but has struggled to find the skill in using that size to move boats. With that said they are progressing and making great strides. We have a packed schedule for the spring, which should give us answers to how we will progress as a team. I expect a strong showing from the men, gaining more and more experience as we approach our championship races."
-Montia Rice

We are incredibly eager to get a stab on our MAAC Championship after a unsatisfying second place finish last spring due to Covid cases. With fresh blood and a revived sense of urgency and determination, we are anticipating our girls to compete ferociously. #BBTM!"

2019 Outlook - "We have the most athletic group of kids I have had in my time at Jacksonville. They do a great job pushing each other and competing to make all of our boats faster. That being said we will have our work cut out for us with the most competitive spring schedule we have seen in years. We will have three opportunities to race within our conference during our season, racing Stetson, Drake & Marist at different points this spring. Not to mention our very competitive out of conference schedule should hopefully prepare us for our Championship on May 19th!
“Our conference continues to get faster as evidence was MAAC 2018 with some very competitive finishes across the board. I am fired up to watch our conference strengthen and continue to get faster at the national level.”

2018 Outlook - "We could not be more excited to continue building on the past. This last spring we had the best finish in MAAC history winning all three events. Although we have had tremendous success the last four years, this year we are truly trying to do something special. Not only win the MAAC Championships, but beat a team or two at the NCAA Championships. The hard work our athletes have put in is infectious and could not be more proud of these athletes."

2017 Outlook - "We have one of the largest teams in the history of our program. The depth this year has pushed the speed of all of our athletes. Not to mention a large athletic walk on class which was driven by the hard work of assistant coach Maggie Dwyer. Our athletes are ready to accept the pressure and hard work a 4th Consecutive MAAC Championship represents. We were tested this fall by Hurricane Matthew however our rowers have dealt with this adversity very well, and could not be more excited to race this spring!"

2016 Outlook - "I could not be more excited to be a part of JU Rowing. The history and tradition coach Mitchell has built is infectious and being a part of that is really fun. The JU Women have competed the last two years at the NCAA Championships. The goals remain simple, win the MAAC for a 3rd straight year, and compete with the best teams in the country at the NCAA Championships. Each day we show up to practice with one goal, get faster."
