2017 Outlook - "The team is working diligently to accomplish their goals individually and collectively. They are aware that the level of competition in the West Coast Conference and nationally continues to improve and the margin for error in training and performance continues to get smaller. To succeed we will need to hold ourselves accountable in everything we do and progress to the best of our ability each day.
"We have once again assembled a very competitive schedule that will prepare us for the championship segment of our season. By the time we get to Lake Natoma for the WCC Championships we will have competed against 13 teams that participated in the 2016 NCAA Championships. We believe there are things learned on the race course, in competition, that cannot be learned in practice and the best way to prepare for our conference championship is to use every competitive opportunity to learn, adjust, and improve. This schedule will give us a lot of opportunities to grow and be prepared to meet our end-of-season goals."

2016 Outlook - "This year’s team has been working hard and is excited to start the Championship segment of the season. They are a driven group led by a strong senior class which has helped change the expectations of what is possible on and off the water for the entire team. They have great support in the other three classes and we are encouraged by the depth they are creating. As always we will have several opportunities to see how our best compares with the rest of the country as we prepare for the increasingly competitive West Coast Conference Championships."

2015 Outlook - "We are looking forward to the Championship Segment of the season. The team and coaching staff have been working hard on implementing changes to our training and preparation that we believe will produce faster crews and better results. We have enjoyed a mild winter which has allowed us the opportunity to stay in touch with our on the water skills while developing the power and endurance necessary to perform at a high level in the increasingly competitive West Coast Conference.
"Our schedule this year is designed to provide the rowers regular tests of their speed and includes 18 teams that competed at the 2014 NCAA Championship. Our goal is to take advantage every opportunity and regain a position at the top of our league. Our athletes and coaches are eager for the challenge. Go Zags!"

2012 Outlook - "We are excited about the prospects for the upcoming season. With two new coaches and a new team structure we are still getting used to all the changes but the team has maintained a positive outlook and a strong work ethic. We have a challenging racing schedule that should provide plenty of opportunities to chart our progress. With the WCC Championship taking place May 12th (in preparation for the AQ in 2013) our season will be two weeks longer than it has been the past few years which has allowed us to adjust our schedule and add some races. Check our facebook page for the most recent information as we progress this spring."

2017 Outlook - "We had a young crew last year so there was a lot of learning on the fly. The team has matured both mentality and physically. As a group, the leadership has been good and the level of commitment is better than I have seen in the last couple of years. They are looking forward to getting on the racecourse."

2016 Outlook - "We are very young this year and have only 4 seniors none of which were in the Varsity 8 last year. The underclassmen are a tight knit group and many of them rowed in the JV the last two years and were very successful. The frosh class has some very big, strong novices that will have an impact on the upper boats. I wouldn’t call this a building year but definitely a year to gain that much needed Varsity 8 race experience and learn how to compete at a higher level."

2015 Outlook - “Definitely a stronger group than we had last year with the addition of a very good recruited freshmen class. Last year we had one senior coxswain and two senior rowers, so we look forward to having more leadership and experience leading into this spring. The guys are looking forward to spring break/racing in San Diego in March. We also will return to GW Invite which is always fantastic competition.”
